Grinning!

We just had our first orientation session, and we're pumped.  Everyone has been really friendly.  Several folks have mentioned they feel as if they know me already (from my FB presence, of course).

Got to see the two bosses in action at orientation and I think this will be really fun.  (Hard to top my two bosses at home, but worthy competition at first glance.  So much information, lots of wisdom, and a big dose of humor.

Lots of other newbies, and we're all feeling that combination of excitement and apprehension.  We're all in the same boat ship.  Also, we just heard that we are going to be heading into prime water for whale migrations on the way to Mexico (at night, but still!) and breeding grounds in Hawaii, and for the "stragglers who missed the memo," in South Africa.

Over the next hour, we'll be boarding the ship.  I've got my luggage tags and my cabin assignment.  It looks like I have a 30-second commute for the next 4 months:  two doors down and up a flight of stairs.  I am going to have to do some planning to get any exercise in!!

Take a look, it's cabin 4116.  Here's a virtual tour:  look for the outside standard cabin.  4116 is just aft of the forward stairs.
